Golf
 At
Big Sandy Lodge, our guests enjoy easy access to
golf (7 miles) at the newly created championship
Minnesota National Golf Course, located just
southwest of Big Sandy Lake. The golf course has
been designed by Joel Goldstrand and is
semi-private, gated and currently features 9-holes,
par 36, and 7,200 yards with five tee boxes for all
skill levels. The course has a spike-free policy. An
additional 9 holes, plus a 9-hole executive golf
course with junior tees for families and those who
prefer a more relaxed game will also be offered.
Golf while at Big Sandy Lodge and enjoy the area's
tranquil scenery, a fresh morning out in nature and
the opportunity to explore one of Minnesota's newest
golf courses. You are welcome to schedule your golf
ahead of arriving (Minnesota National Golf Course
has a 24 hour cancellation requirement and
rainchecks are possible). The golf course is beautiful,
set near the shores of Flowage Lake and provides a
great escape and chance to indulge in your favorite
sport. The course is designed to accent its natural
environment, so don't be surprised if you see
wildlife-including deer, eagles, squirrels and
numerous birds-while on the course. It's a pleasant
course to walk, even if you're not a player, and
makes for a great Minnesota outing.
